Conference Call for paper

The International Conference on “Theory and Practice in Modern Computing” provides a forum for research and developments in the field of computing foundations and technology. Modern computing comes not only with efficient concepts and their application, but also it often addresses networking and mobility topics. Hence, the view in TPMC ranges from fundamentals like new or improved algorithms to very recent and modern applications like ubiquitous scenarios or even everyday computing.Complementary to these technically-oriented contents, TPMC also shall serve as discussion platform about ethics and social impact of those technologies. In its main focus, this scientific conference aims to attract research reports on efficient application and realization of simple algorithmic methods, new architectures in design and data structures, new and improved communication protocols, and synthesis of known computing concepts and approaches.Topics for this conference include, but are not limited to:Design Foundations– Accessibility– Algorithms– Application Design– Architectures– Artificial Intelligence– Compilers– Complex systems– Data modelling– Expert Systems– Ethics and Freedom of Information– Graph Theory– Hybrid Methods– Interfaces– Interpreters– Multimedia– Natural Language Processing– Numerical Computation– Object Orientation– Ontologies– Privacy– Programming Languages– Programming Techniques– Quality-of-Service– Scientific Computing– Security– Service-oriented Architecture– Theorems– Visualization Mobility Communication and Services– Ad-hoc Networking– Application Frameworks– Context Aware Applications– Aspects of Distributed Systems– End-User Devices– Entertainment, Gaming and Learning– Frameworks for Wireless Security– Home Networks– Integration of Wired and Wireless Networks– Location-based Applications and Services– Location- and Context-Aware Distributed Systems– Middleware– Mobile Commerce– Mobile Computing Software Architectures– Mobile Networks and Mobile Agents– Pervasive or Ubiquitous Computing– Pervasive Computing Environments– Peer-to-Peer Networking– Performance and Simulation– Wireless and Mobile Networking and Computing– Use of Distributed Services over Wireless NetworksRealization Aspects– Adaptive Systems– Best Computing Practices– Bio-signal Processing– Computer-Aided Design– Computer-Aided Manufacturing– Computing for Handicapped– Development Processes– Distribution Processes– Distributed Systems– Embedded Systems– General Performance Issues– Grid Computing– Industrial Applications– Information Retrieval– Interoperability– Marketing– Medical applications– Parallel Systems– Public Digital Libraries– Public Science Archives– Simulation– Software Development– Software Engineering– System Integration– UML– Virtual Reality Networking and Grid Approaches– Adoption and Diffusion of Networking Technologies– Business Applications of Telecommunications– Cross-Border Network-Based Information Systems– Design and Performance Evaluation– Specialized Networking Systems (i.e. Health, Education, Manufacturing)– Effects of Legislation and Regulation on Telecommunications– Emerging Networking Trends– Grid, Cluster and Internet Computing– Management of Telecommunications– Networking Protocols– Network Management Contingency Issues– Network Pricing Issues and Strategies– Outsourcing of Networking and Communication Services– Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Systems– Policy-Based Network Management Systems– Policy-Based Security Systems– Security of Interconnected Systems– Sensor, Mesh, and Ad-hoc-Networks– Standards and Network Interoperability– Strategic Use of Networking Technologies– Success Factors of Networked Systems– Telecommuting, Remote Access and VPNThe Conference will be composed of several types of contributions:
