About CORE ranking 2020: The CORE Conference Ranking is a measure to assess the major conference in the computing field. This ranking is governed by the CORE Executive Committee. There are timely rounds for submission of requests, both for the addition and re-ranking of conferences. The final decision is taken by the academic committees on the basis of data collected during the submission process.
According to this ranking, the following are the categories to which the conference are assigned:

The executive committee generally ranks conferences. There are timely rounds for submission of requests, both for the addition and re-ranking of conferences. Conferences that are ranked A* or A falls under Tier 1 conferences. Tier 1 conferences are generally associated with reputed professional bodies (IEEE, ACM, IETE, etc.). These conferences typically have a very low acceptance rate and a very rigorous review process.
Conferences that are generally ranked B falls under Tier 2 conferences. Tier 2 conferences are generally new, have a high acceptance rate, and have a less rigorous reviewing process than Tier 1 conferences.
There is no fixed way to compare conferences. However, one can compare conference in the related field by their ranking, impact factor or h-index.
To find out if a particular domestic or international conference is good enough or not, one can check multiple parameters such as List of Speakers, Agenda, Organizers, how old it is, its ranking, impact factor, h-index, etc.
