Aim and Scope


The Mineralogical Magazine publishes, in English, the results of original scientific research in the fields of mineralogy, geochemistry and petrology, including extra-terrestrial materials. The journal was launched in the late 19th century and has been published continuously ever since. Six issues per year are produced and copies are sent to members of the Mineralogical Society of Great Britain & Ireland and to library and other institutional subscribers in >50 countries around the world. The journal has appeared in online format since 1998. The current editor is Dr S.A.T. Redfern of the University of Cambridge, UK.
