Nair, Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science, CUSAT, Kochi, India. The organizers invite high-quality research papers for the Special Session on Deep learning for Computer Vision, Biometrics and Privacy to be held during the 2019 TENCON conference (http://www.tencon2019.org). TENCON is a premier international technical conference of IEEE Region 10. The Theme for TENCON 2019 is Technology, Knowledge, and Society, and it will be held on 17th to 20th October 2019 at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty, Kochi, Kerala, India. Aim and Scope Deep learning has emerged as one of the breakthroughs in computer vision and AI. The deep learning models can learn to mean from images and perform vision tasks such as image classification, object detection, object segmentation, image reconstruction, image super-resolution, image synthesis and so on. In the biometric domain, performance is affected by various environmental conditions, and recent developments have shown promising applications of deep learning techniques in guaranteeing higher performance in various biometric recognition tasks. The significance of the application of machine learning in computer vision and biometrics-based authentication systems have motivated many universities and industries to start working deep learning based solutions. Hence, there is a need to promote research and development in this area. This special session is an attempt to bring researcher from the different community who are working in the area of computer vision, deep learning, biometrics, and privacy protection to discuss and present their work. We solicit papers related to the following: ● Application of Deep Learning in Computer Vision, Biometrics, Pattern Recognition, Media Digital Data, Medical Imaging, Video Surveillance ● Security and Privacy in Deep Learning ● Generative and Adversarial Deep Learning Paper Submission Guidelines Authors are invited to submit full paper (Maximum 6 pages, double- column US letter size) as PDF using the IEEE templates. Submissions are to be done through the TENCON website www.tencon2019.org.
