SmartTech-IC is an international conference conceived to attract researchers, scientists and technologists from some of the top companies, universities, research groups, and government agencies from Latin America and around the world to communicate their research results, inventions and innovative applications in the area of Smart Science and the most recent technological trends. We encourage the submission of original, unpublished technical papers on one or more of the listed topics and sub-topics, as are shown below. Topics include, but are not limited, to the following thematic areas: Smart Technologies, Systems and their Applications. Unlisted but related sub-topics are also acceptable.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit full papers (10 to 12 pages in length; including figures, tables and references) and should be written in English. Each submitted paper must contain original and unpublished contributions, not submitted for publication in any other conference or journal. Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors should register and present orally the paper in the conference.
Virtual Presentations:
In consideration of presenters who may be unable to attend SmartTech-IC 2019 in person due to funding or time constraints, but have access to necessary technologies, Virtual Presentations have been added to the SmartTech-IC conference with the same validity (peer review, publication, certification, etc.) as the face-to-face conference and with the capability to interact with session participants. In submitting your paper, make sure that SmartTech-IC 2019 Virtual presentation option is selected. Note that at least one author must confirm by registering by the Early Registration Deadline, otherwise your paper will be withdrawn.
Review Process
-------------------------
SmartTech-IC 2019 will institute a double-blind review process for all submissions. Therefore, authors must remove their personal details, acknowledgments section and any other information related to the authors' identity. All submissions will be reviewed by 3 experts from the Program Committee. The first anonymous version must be submitted in PDF format through Easychair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=smarttechic2019
Proceedings
-------------------------
The proceedings of SmartTech-IC 2019 conference will be published by Springer in their Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series.
CCIS is indexed in Scopus, DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews and SCImago.
Awards
-------------------------
The Best Paper of each thematic area of SmartTech-IC 2019 conference will receive an award in the form of economic prize, a plaque and a certificate, respectively.
