Hydrogel_Medicine 2022 : Bioengineering Special Issue: Hydrogels for Biomedical Applications

Dear Colleagues,

Since the first biological application of hydrogels appeared in 1960, this kind of biomaterial has become increasingly popular. Particularly in recent years, hydrogels have been used in a great number of biomedical applications, such as ophthalmology, tissue engineering and drug delivery.

This Special Issue is dedicated to overviewing the groundbreaking research related to hydrogels and their most relevant applications in biomedicine, and aims to highlight the current and future state of biomedical hydrogel research. We hope that the Issue will bring new insights to the scientific community in this ever-expanding research field.
