ETFA 2020 is the 25th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) focusing on the latest developments and new technologies in the field of industrial and factory automation. The conference aims to disseminate novel ideas and emerging trends, research results and practical achievements. ETFA 2020 will be held Tuesday through Friday, September 08-11, 2020 in Vienna, Austria. The conference program will be preceded by technical workshops and by Industry Day on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. ETFA 2020 is a unique opportunity to network, build up partnerships and exchange ideas with both industry leaders and a variety of experienced researchers, developers and practitioners from several industries, research institutes, and academia. The ETFA conference brings together experts from industry and academia to disseminate and discuss novel ideas and emerging trends, research results and practical achievements in the area of industrial and factory automation. The ultimate goal is to foster the development and adoption of scientific methods, models, and tools for the efficient design and operation of industrial and factory automation systems. Conference TopicsETFA 2020 will consist of 10 technical/regular tracks spread across many different areas of Factory Automation.

Submission of PapersThe working language of the conference is English. Two types of submissions are solicited. Long Papers – limited to 8 double column pages in a font no smaller than 10-points. Work-in-Progress– limited to 4 double column pages in a font no smaller than 10-points. Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in PDF format, according to the instructions contained in the Authors section. Paper AcceptanceEach accepted paper must be presented at the conference by one of the authors, otherwise the ETFA2020 Organizing Committee reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference at IEEE Xplore. The final manuscript must be accompanied by a registration form and a registration fee payment proof. All conference attendees must pay the conference registration fee and their travel, accommodation, and other personal expenses. Conference VenueThe ETFA 2020 conference will take place at the TU Wien, one of the oldest technical universities in Europe with more than 200 years of history (https://www.tuwien.at/en/). The university is located in the city center of Vienna, at a hub of the public transport system and within walking distance of some of the most important sights.
