About |
Rising sea levels, droughts, bushfires, and other extreme weather events are exacerbating existing environmental stresses, and provoking unprecedented challenges to states and communities. These growing environmental challenges multiply the risk of social deprivation, political instability and war. As the international community struggles to find consensus on limiting carbon emissions, the challenges to peace and security that will arise in a warming world are only beginning to be understood. The aim of this conference is to explore the relationship between climate change and challenges to peace. |
