Fundamental or experimental research and theoretical papers describing original, previously unpublished work in all the scientific fields that could be involved in the dialogue with theology are solicited. All accepted papers will be considered for publication in the presentation at the conference and the published proceedings. |

Paper of interest in any of the 14 sections of the conference (including, but not limited to the following topics of interest from each section) are most welcomed: 1. Art and Literature & Religion (topics under consideration: Theatre, Visual Arts, Architecture, Photography, Design and any other implications that human creativity and art inspiration have an impact on/from religion). 2. Earth Sciences, Ecology, Environment & Theology 3. Social Sciences, Culture, Lifestyle Choices & Religion (topics under consideration: Violence, Extremism and Terrorism; Race/Ethnic Studies; Gender Studies; Psychology, Sociology and Pedagogy, Social Science, Families, Work, Activism, Education, Lifestyle Choices/ News, Media, Internet/ What moral is really moral and what is cultural constructs, created through time, traditions, politics and power dynamics?). 4. Law and Political Science & Theology (topics under consideration: Do monarchies owe their authority to divine right? Has God delegated to secular rulers such as kings and emperors the authority to wage war in order to achieve religious aims: the conversion of the infidel or the repulsion of unjust attacks on the true faith? Do secular rulers have the authority to suppress heretics? What authority does the state retain when its principles conflict with God's? Is the authority of the natural law ultimately grounded in divine law? More specifically, in a religiously pluralistic context such as one finds in contemporary liberal democracies, are religious reasons sufficient to justify a coercive law for which reasonable agents cannot find an adequate secular rationale?). 5. Philosophy of Science & Theology (topics under consideration: Is human language adequate to describe God? Genesis! Fact, fiction or faith? Is mathematics .. the language of science or philosophy and religion? When artificial intelligence becomes everyday life, do you think philosophy is the only science of human beings? Does a theory always have/ require an underlying philosophy? Is the universe conscious?). 6. Biology, Medicine, Natural Sciences & Theology (topics under consideration: Can science explain the transition from chemicals to life (bios)? Can we assume that all and only bio-existances have Souls?). 7. Neurobiology & Theology (topics under consideration: mind and consciousness; More Than a Body?; the idea of God and the brain; If our reasoning is simply a product of a deterministic neuronal state how does it conform to the rules of logic and consistency? What motivates human beings? Do Plants Have a Soul? Who am I?). 8. Epistemology, Metaphysics and Communication Sciences & Theology 9. Management, Marketing, Economics and Tourism & Religion 10. Bioethics - Science - Theology (topics under consideration: What are the Human Rights that are violated and temporarily annulled under the pretext of Covid19 pandemic? Ethical Issues And Challenges; Artificial Intelligence; Engineering). 11. Astronomy, Astro-Physics & Theology (topics under consideration: the origin and evolution of life; irreducible complexity and intelligent design; extraterrestrial life; define life in the context of the limits of the substance (matter) and life (energy); What is life made of?). 12. Summary |
Dialogo-Conf 2020 : The Annual Virtual Conference on the Dialogue between Science and Theology will take place in Romania-Poland-Turkey-Egypt-Slovakia. It’s a 10 days event starting on Nov 03, 2020 (Tuesday) and will be winded up on Nov 12, 2020 (Thursday).
