Call for Chapter in Book 'Novel Approaches to Information Systems' by IGI Global:

Information systems are socio-technical, organizational systems. From the social point of view, the reaction of organizational stakeholders to design, development and adoption of systems is crucial to their acceptance. From the technical point of view, focus is on models, methods and tools required to develop systems. The meeting ground is that information systems are teleological and aim to support operations, processes and managerial decision-making so as to provide value in the hands of the stakeholder. This book is a compendium of recent and on-going research in the area of information systems

Objective:
The scope of information systems ranges over transaction systems, decision systems, knowledge systems, learning systems, etc; their models, development methods and tools. Even though information systems have been traditionally centralized, today systems are distributed over the web. This requires a re-investigation into the way information systems are modeled and designed. It has also thrown up new critical problems like security, never-fail systems, and quality of service.

The book exposes the reader to emerging but relatively mature models and techniques in the area.

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before July 19, 2019, a chapter proposal of 500 words outlining the contents of the proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by July 26, 2019 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.

The total length of the final chapter could be between 7000 and 10,000 words.
