AUTOQUITOUS 2023 : AUTOQUITOUS: FIRST WORKSHOP ON AUTONOMOUS UBIQUITOUS SYSTEMS

Scope

In our ever-evolving technological landscape, autonomous systems have emerged as pivotal players, reshaping industries and revolutionizing human interactions with the world around us. From surveillance systems that enhance security to irrigation systems that optimize resource usage, and from drones and robots that perform ubiquitous tasks to civilian surveillance systems that raise critical ethical questions – autonomous systems have become integral to our lives. This workshop seeks to delve into the intricate interplay between the technical prowess of autonomous systems, the ethical dilemmas they evoke, and the indispensable role of human interaction in their operation.

While these systems showcase remarkable independence, they are not isolated entities. Human interaction remains vital as autonomous systems may require occasional intervention, whether for issuing warnings, scheduling maintenance, or providing updates on emerging trends. Therefore, understanding the fusion of technology and human agency is paramount.

We invite researchers, practitioners, and visionaries to contribute to our workshop on the Technical and Ethical Aspects of Autonomous Systems. We welcome submissions that explore a diverse array of themes, including but not limited to:

All registered papers will be submitted for publishing by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library.
