Computational and Corpus Linguistics (LCC) has been booming and developing in our Spanish-speaking countries, and, particularly, in Colombia; This is demonstrated by the two previous congresses organized in our country: the first one in the city of Bogotá in 2017, by the Caro y Cuervo Institute; and the second in 2018 by the University of Medellín; These congresses were preceded by the First Colombian Colloquium of Computational Linguistics and Corpus held in 2016, Universidad del Valle. On these occasions we had the opportunity to meet with colleagues from the Latin American field and, in addition, there was the participation of experts from the Anglophone world around this topic. |
