The Faculty of History UMK and Institute of History and Archival Sciences UMK would like to invite You to take part in the international academic conference "Prosopography – Career Paths Throughout Ages", which will take place in Toruń, on Tuesday, 24th September 2019 in Collegium Humanisticum UMK in Toruń.

We are directing our offer to the researchers of all historical epochs, focusing their interests on prosopography of elites from authorities, clergy, social and professional groups. We prefer lecturers, whose lectures will be based on their own studies and unpublished so far.

Proposed issues:
- prosopography of Roman elites
- prosopography of The Teutonic Order
- prosopography of episcopal and regal courts
- prosopography of prelates and canonry
- prosopography of Uniate and Orthodox clergy
- prosopography of Roman catholic and Uniate Religious Orders in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth between XVI and XVIII centuries.

We would like to invite lecturers from Poland and abroad to submit their abstracts. The conference languages are Polish and English. Our goal is to develop contacts with foreign research communities and internationalize the results of studies, therefore the submissions from foreign lecturers are especially welcome.

The accompanying event to the proposed conference will the scientific session intended for students and PhD students which also will be focused on prosopographic studies. In case of a submission for the academic conference being rejected, we will offer the PhD student a chance to deliver their lecture during the scientific session.

The conference fee is 200 zł. It includes payment for post-conference publication, alimentation and conference materials. We offer accommodation in the University Hotel for additional 120 zł per night, or 65 zł per night, if a lecturer is a PhD student.

All questions, comments and suggestions should also be submitted to the aforementioned email address. Submission of an application form is synonymous with consent for the processing of personal data. The submission of personal data is non-mandatory but essential to take part in the conference.
